Legacy...

She gazed across the murky blue of the ocean.. Its dark depths a haunting memory of days buried deep in her mind... The salty air breathed kisses upon her skin as her feet tasted the sandy shore of the beach. The sun was setting.. A cloud fire of hues warming the sky... Even though the surroundings were beautiful and the sea calm..her heart weighed heavy. Her mind tormented by thoughts and body guided by the aimlessness.... The sea was calming though...the only sound the soft crash of waves as the water caressed her feet sunken into the grainy shore... Setting her mind at ease to think more clearly... What should she do now? Now that she knew the truth..had the revelation of reality...and had somehow come out stronger. It was time to make the decision needed to move forward. Gone was the past of who she was and dawning in the horizon - who she was meant to become. She has denied it for too long-- her heritage...the legacy of the family and bloodline...she was the last. Yet all she could manage to do was seek the oceans blue for answers that would not come and try to forget the unending questions she will not have answers to. She heard a sound behind her and turned..heart seeming to stop along with time as she saw it was him ...his warm chocolate eyes caressing hers and his smile...curving his deliciously tempting lips. His approach seemed to take forever until he wrapped her in his arms.Sighing with relief she sank into him..feeling whole again and the ease of pain just from his touch. Cupping her cheek he kissed her...softly..slowly. His eyes searching hers with unspoken love and his husky voice speaking softly, "Are you ready...?" She looked at him feeling so saddened and lost...Was she..?
